Most turbo-charged engine spin in excess of 30K RPM. The engine is running in extreme hot temperature. This turbo timer is designed to extend the life turbo-charger and engine by allowing engines to idle after the ignition key has been turned to the off position and removed. When engine oil continues to circulate through a hot turbocharger bearing housing, heat is dissipated from the bearings and impeller shaft thereby preventing bearings from "boiling," which is the number one cause of turbo failure in automobile engines. Would work for both turbo and non-turbo cars. Non-turbo engines also needs to cool down after a high running speed or driven in hot temperature in summer time, this will help to extend engine lifetime.
